All Roanoke Valley Veterans Museum friends are saddened to hear of the death of Doug Hughes.

It was just two months ago Doug built and donated a scale model of the USS Arizona, sunk on December 7, 1941- "a day that lives in infamy".  The USS Arizona still lies in Pearl Harbor with approximately 1102 sailors still entombed within.

Doug passed on March 13th at 78 years of age, after a battle with heart disease. Doug will be missed.
